Despite the global financial crisis Audi AG reported a global sales increase in September of 12.3 percent compared to September 2007. In number of vehicles that represent nearly 10 thousand more vehicles sold.

From January through September, Audi sold so far 762,280 units, an increase of 2.9 percent compared to the same period in 2007. Audi AG also achieved impressive growth rates in Asia/Pacific and European markets.

In Europe figures went up by 13.2 percent in September. From January through September Audi sold 539,934 vehicles in Europe an increase of 1,1 percent in sales.

In Asia/Pacific Audi sold 14,842 premium vehicles in September, an impressive growth of 20.9 percent. From January through September sales went up by 17.3 percent with 118,178 units sold

The principal drivers of growth were the new Audi A4 and the A5 sports coupé.
